SIAM-SAFE has been organising several programmes with the local stakeholders in various parts of the country. These activities help in creating a positive image of the automobile industry to the society at large. Presently, the SAFE Governing Council has representatives from vehicle manufacturers, test agencies (ARAI, CIRT, & IIP) and NGO's. In last couple of years the awareness among the various stakeholders and interested parties all over the country has grown tremendously and it has been felt by the SAFE Governing Council that SAFE should reach out to such local groups in a more effective manner. In view of the above, it has been proposed that SAFE may create "SAFE Resource Persons (SRP)" in key cities as a representative of SAFE.
