REVA Electric Car Company (RECC) on Thursday said it has entered Costa Rica with the launch of its electric car REVAi in the Central American country. We have received a lot of interest in REVA from the markets in Central America and the launch in Costa Rica will help drive the REVA into other markets in the region,'' said Mr Chetan Maini, Deputy Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, RECC.

The car, which was formally launched by the President of Costa Rica, Mr Oscar Arias, would be imported and distributed by Vehiculo Electricos Company in the country. Mr Arias said, It is nice that REVA chose Costa Rica to launch in Central America, si nce this is country with a tradition of environmental protection.'' REVA is the brand of the REVA Electric Car Company, a joint venture between Maini Group of India and AEV LLC of California.
