The Convention will focus on road safety through driving education with latest technology both now and the future & contemporary technologies, which make driving or riding an altogether safer experience. Technologies like airbags, anti-lock braking , Acceleration Skid Control or even Electronic Stability Control, which are now becoming increasingly common, will be focused in convention. We will also look at both online and offline technological leaps which have contributed in making roads safer and significantly reducing road and motorway casualties.

The Convention would provide an opportunity to professionals in road safety education, promotion and enforcement, to meet and work with those responsible for research, innovation and design. The event will also bring together Senior Officials and Representatives from Government Departments of different states, who together share a common commitment to accelerate the reduction in road casualties, by upgrading the existing driving schools in India with the help of knowledge gained by international experience in this area.

Panel discussion and Q&A session will provide an excellent opportunity to delegates to exchange experiences and closely question experts on specific issues. Plenty of time for networking has been kept to give you chance to exchange ideas and benchmark practices with experts.

Need for New Role of Driver Training Institute in India

Creating better drivers is need of the hour. This requires steps to augment the role of Driver Training Institutes in India. Driver training institutes should provide customers with best training possible and enhance their driving skills with the help of class room as well as practical training so that they can provide good and safe drivers to the nations.

In India Driver Training Institutes need to adhere to the Indian rules and also adapt best practices from International norms and process for road safety training.

In Europe it has been established that driver error is one of the important factor in road accidents and a primary factor in the deaths of over a million people every year. Avoiding such error involves more than just following the rules of the road literally; also involves defensive driving and cultivation of good habits, maintaining attention and a thoughtful, cooperative attitude “A Safer Tomorrow Through Training & Technology” aims to exchange best practices and consider suitably adopting or adapting them to further the cause of sustainable mobility with reduction in casualties throughout the country.

SAFE is a not for profit society with membership from NGOs, testing agencies, vehicle manufacturers, working with all stakeholders on issues related to road safety and vehicular pollution.
